People are willing to shell out thousands of dollars for a two-hour Hannah Montana concert.
With the GTDSummit you may actually walk out out with some keys that can reduce your stress, make you more productive and tap into your creativity. Can Hannah do that??

Tomm, David is certainly a genius, but it isn't reasonable to suggest that fact can be established due to the gross metrics you are using as a somewhat sarcastic means of proving that fact.

It is frankly pretty disingenuous to even suggest that the cost of the conference times the number of attendees will result in a million dollars (not "dollers") of net revenue.

You fail to consider many factors: first the cost of securing the venue which will run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Next the cost for internet connectivity - which is one place that people putting on events cannot afford to scrimp and where they are often raped by the hotels and the telecommunications providers - $75,000 to $100,00 there.

Now add meals for the guests, rooms for the 30 to 40 staff that are there to make sure things go smoothly, travel expenses for all that staff, meals as well.

Don't forget the cost of printing all the conference materials, or the expenses of the keynote speakers. You should also factor in the advertising expense and the cost associated with providing for the limited number of media professionals that will receive press passes.

In truth, particularly for an inaugural event where cost overruns are likely since there is no precedent and thus people are prone to over estimate what is required since it is better to have too much of something rather than not enough, and you're pretty lucky if you manage to break even.

All this notwithstanding, I think if you ask anyone that has benefit from GTD sufficiently that they choose to be a paying attendee at this event they'll tell you that they believe that this cost is trivial in comparison to what they expect to gain, not to mention what they already have gained, thanks to the true genius of David Allen.

A fantastic idea! I also tried to find something about it on the GTD website, and came up empty. Will keep checking back, and please let us know pronto when we can make reservations.

Awesome! I really hope I can get to this event - what a fantastic opportunity. Note: it doesn't seem like your "David Allen Company Website" link is working. Not sure if that's the link that's supposed to go live in the next 24 hours or not, but thought I would point it out.

Thanks for the news! Great job.
