FYI–There are two iTunes feeds: one that includes all of the free podcasts found here: http://www.davidco.com/podcast.php
and another that include all of the free ones, plus everything included for GTD Connect members (many, many more show up in the Connect feed that are only accessible to members with a login.)

Just one comment really, I don’t think the iTunes subscription includes all the podcasts, including this one. Great podcast though, really useful.

Interesting Podcast on collect & best practice. However my GTD works best when I use a hardback book with lined paper to record everything (meetings, messages, phone calls – everything). I then transfer actions from the book to OmniFocus to trigger my doing the action, but the book records for me the context of my agreeing the action as well as phone numbers and so forth. I run a separate In Tray for post and prints of emails etc.

This does mean that I am working with my book almost constantly, and checking I have marked actions off as “captured” elsewhere.

I’m a loyal listener and have two comments:
- great podcast, especially on the part at work that is less often discussed.
- point of improvement: sound capture is quite disappointing in this podcast: echo, loudness, uneven level between speakers. Really tough to follow while driving. OK, I’m french, but this is no excuse

I like your index card system because it’s very physical and compact.

And when I’ve used index cards, there’s something relieving about tearing them by hand when you discover they belong best in Trash!

I absolutely love the podcasts! Keep up the good work. I’ve been using GTD for about a year now and my favorite method of capture is index cards. I find them extremely useful for capturing one idea at a time – whether the idea is a next action, project, or reference. I did not hear anything about using index cards by the podcasters in today’s podcast. In light of the hPDA movement within GTD and the availability of index cards on college campuses (where I work), I’d like to hear your thoughts about what you’ve observed, the pros and cons, of such a system.
