How to find the GTD Coordinator®

The GTD Coordinator®–our GTD paper planner created with Mead and sold in many Staples stores–has been wildly popular. Which has been great for those who have been able to get their hands on one, and a challenge for those who are still trying to locate one. Here’s the latest (updated 04/26/2010):
New GTD Coordinators complete with blank forms and 2010 calendar:
Letter-size GTD Coordinator – Item #805099 – Out of stock in the Davidco store. In stock at various Staples stores throughout the U.S. Clerks are unable to look this item up if you call the store as it is not in the Staples online store. Staples has 4700 units available in various retail locations. The easiest way to locate one is to do a live chat with Staples.com to find the location of the store closest to you with inventory.
Junior-size GTD Coordinator- Item # 805102 – Out of stock in the Davidco store. In stock at various Staples stores. Mead has elected not to stock a customDavid Allen 2010 calendar refill-only product; please customize your coordinator with the 2010 calendar of your choice.
Blank Forms Refill Paper: In stock in the DavidCo store for both Junior size (very limited quantities as of 4/26/10) and Letter size. Includes blank forms for action lists and more. Does not include a Calendar. Some Staples stores also carry these as item #36367 (Junior) and #806744 (Letter).

Thanks to David for sharing this link on Twitter. With so many hacks for the GTD planner around, it is good to know that David Allen & Co. have produced a product to please the masses. I’m looking forward to purchasing one of these planners and writing a review in the coming months. Very reasonable pricing, as well.
The only problem is that you may have problems getting a refill for the calendar. Maybe it is just me, but it was frustrating to be pleased to find the Coordinator in my local store only to find that you would have to buy the entire Coordinator to get the calendar. I ended up just creating my own in Excel.
Hey – what about your international following?
NEED Calender refill pages! The paper just is not the same when you create your own. Plus, its difficult to find the right size paper or you have to cut it yourself (leaving edges that don’t always line up perfectly), and you have to have the correct size paper hole punch at home.
One other thing I wish they would change in the calender section is switching the actions and appointments section so that the appointments are closer to the center. I tend to write in the actions section on the fly while the appointments are usually more set in stone and less frequent. This means that the section more heavily used is close to the center where it is more difficult to write. However, changing this would also be more practical, when making appointments the entire week would be visible in the center of the book so you can quickly see when times are open and available.
