One chapter in the book features David’s discussion with the authors about how clearing the runway of low level “stuff” in your life paves the way for the clarity and freedom of achieving bigger and better things.

In this video, co-author John Tierney talks to Reason.TV about success and failure and the positive impact David Allen and GTD can have on all that.

Meg Edwards, the Director of Coaching Services at David Allen Company, created the videos with Dean Hering, Chief Innovator at NetCentrics, the developer of the Add-In. There are seven videos, which cover the best practices for using the Outlook Add-In with your calendar, tasks, emails, and notes. There are also detailed video tours that show how the Add-In works with different versions of Outlook.

What’s different about this map versus the diagram that’s in the GTD book?

The diagram in the book (page 120) only includes Collect, Process and Organize phases. This new one also includes Review, Horizons of Focus, 3-Fold Nature of Work and Criteria for Choosing. It’s a very cool map describing how all parts of GTD intersect and work together.

Can I still use the one in the book?

Absolutely. You can also grab the original one for free here. Nothing in the methdology changed–but the new Map expands on it in a much more detailed and comprehensive way to tie it all together.

What’s on the DVD?

The DVD is David Allen walking you through the map, giving his coaching and guidance on what each section means and how to work it. And it’s got some soothing music to reduce your stress, if nothing else. Check out the sample video.

I’ve got some big news for GTD enthusiasts and followers of David Allen’s Getting Things Done systematic approach to personal productivity. David in conjunction with the David Allen Company have just launched a new YouTube Channel dedicated to Getting Things Done. This new YouTube Channel is a compilation of those videos that David or his staff feel are especially useful for helping people to put David’s GTD methodology into practice.

If you’re a regular YouTube viewer you may have seen some of these before but in any case this new channel consolidates these useful videos into one location making them easier to find and more accessible to the community. Be sure to subscribe so that you get notifications as new videos are added and, if you’ve made any GTD videos of your own, be sure to let them know so that those too can be made a part of this new resource.

Doing the wash is just a few minutes has started some discussion with friends. Most of all the question: how do you do it?I am simply inspired by others.In the video here (explained in the classic GTD 2 minutes) you will see how a t-shirt can be folded in 2 seconds.

Now this is something you can try at home with the kids! We had fun learning this 2 second trick
