We want to know how you get things done and how GTD works in your life. We’d love personal success stories, tips, tricks and great how to’s. We want to learn about the ways in which you apply David Allen’s approach in your professional work, your home life, with your family, friends and everything in between.
While we can’t promise that we’ll be able to publish everything that comes in, we’ll strive to make sure that the best, most relevant, most useful and most inspiring material is posted so that everyone in the GTD community can benefit from our shared experiences.
Running it by us:
If you have an idea for a contribution, please contact us before going to all of the work to write it or put it together, so that we can chat about your interest, idea for submission and go over some of the guidelines. Generally, we are looking for original community submissions about your personal experience with GTD. To keep the site fair and balanced, we do not accept contributions from people writing about their own product or service.
Once you’ve been approved as a contributor, it’s pretty simple:
- Email your submission to editor@gtdtimes.com, as a Word doc or in the email.
- Include any .jpg photos (that you have the full rights to distribute) to publish with the post
- Reference the links you want included like this: A great way to learn GTD is by reading this (link to: http://www.davidco.com/what_is_gtd.php)
- Include a 2 to 3 line bio of yourself and jpg photo if you have one, so we can feature you as a contributor
- The post should be about GTD in some way. For example, if you are doing a book or software review, how would GTD’ers find it useful (or not)?
- You must own the rights to what you are distributing. For example, we will not publish something that you or we do not own that is intellectual property owned by another person or party.
Please note: Not all posts will be published. Posts that are accepted will be edited for spelling, grammar and readable flow. We review each submission carefully and will not publish articles that are inflammatory in nature to us or anyone else, not related to GTD, not in compliance with our trademarks, or are perceived as being in direct competition with services offered by The David Allen Company. We play nice and ask those who contribute to the site to as well.
If you have any questions, please contact us! We’d love to hear from you.
For the record…all of the views expressed by our contributors are not necessarily shared by the David Allen, David Allen Company or GTD Times. The articles on the site do not imply endorsement in any way of the applications, services or products mentioned. The companies we do have a partnership with because we like and use their products, are listed here.
